Lucky?

Lucky, lucky, lucky.

We all know someone who is lucky. And we despise them.

"I wish I was lucky"
"I wish I was as luck as him"  (or her)

And yet, when questioned with the phenomenon, the word , the gift of luck, most people say there is no such thing.

The truth is, each and everyone one of us are more lucky than we think.

  • People with a family, they are lucky.

  • People who wake up in the morning, are lucky.

  • People who can see, are lucky.

Heck, I'd go as far as to say, people who read this, are lucky.

In an instant, that luck can be taken away from you.
Your family could be in a car accident, and be taken away from you.
You could slip, and break your neck, and never be able to walk again.
You could develop a life threatening disease.

So, next time you despise someone for being luckier than you, think about what real luck is. It's not the winning of a random prize, or finding a fiver on the floor.
It's the realisation that people care for you, that you have someone to care for. Even if at times it doesn't feel like it.

You only miss the water when it's gone.

Go on, tell someone you love them, give someone a hug.
